Every year, the institute selects and sends many young and key teachers for training and further education in Australia, Germany, Singapore and Taiwan. Meanwhile, the institute also invites sister college teachers to conduct teacher training in the institute.

TAFE Teacher Training Center has trained over 300 teachers from Zhejiang and other provinces, among which 80 have obtained the TAFE level-IV certificate. In addition, 50 teachers have got related training certificates issued by Germany and other international training institutes. All of the training has provided a good teaching force for international exchange and cooperation. 

To ensure high quality of the international exchange and cooperation programs, ZBTI annually employs nearly 20 foreign teachers to give lectures for Sino-Australia cooperative courses and related courses for majors in Applied English major and Applied Japanese. Sharyn Meade, one of those foreign teachers, got “West Lake Friendship Award” granted by Zhejiang Provincial Government, 4 other foreign teachers got “Camelliza Award” by Ningbo Municipal Government. Two Chinese administrators have got the awards of “Model Personnel” in foreign cultural and educational administration, and the institute has also twice been awarded the title of “Advanced Institute in foreign teacher management and service.”
