Making Enzymes, Digging Sweet Potatoes... International Students from ZBTI Appreciate the Charm of the Beautiful Countryside

Recently, Fenghua Dayan Town, the first ecological environment education characteristic town in China, welcomed a special group of tourists -14 international students from ZBTI. It is worth mentioning that international students use their mobile phone cameras to record every detail of their rural journey and create short videos.

International students came to the famous zero pollution village of Jianling, and visited the village's garbage composting site and the rice grown by drinking biological enzymes. Afterwards, everyone came to the Jianling Environmental Learning Center to systematically understand the garbage classification model of biological enzymes+environmental market+compost explored by Jianling Village, which focuses on garbage classification, garbage reduction, and recycling of garbage utilization.

Digging sweet potatos

Leaving Jianling Village, the international students arrived at Houfan Village. On the field of Mr. Ye Shihai, "the King of Sweet Potato" in the village, experiencing digging sweet potatoes with hoes while listening to the farmer's guide's account of Mr. Ye's deeds. When they learned that Ye had created a record of 2572 sweet potatoes on a vine, students gave thumbs up, and even more were impressed by this amazing technology, constantly asking Ye if he would accept foreign apprentices. Afterwards, the international students also watched the introduction video of the Fenghua intangible cultural heritage project Dayan Roast Duck Production Techniques and tasted Dayan Roast Duck. "I like this activity very much. It's wonderful here. Every piece of art and every old house has stories. I hope everyone can come here to have a look." Nailla, an international student from Burundi, praised this experience activity endlessly.

Visit the beautiful countryside

After the visit experience, the international students worked tirelessly under the guidance of the leading teacher to create a short video. After joint evaluation by on-site teachers and village representatives, the final six international students won first, second, and third prizes. These award-winning short videos will be posted on the college's overseas social media accounts for international dissemination.
