ZBTI Went to Indonesia to Build the "Live Streaming and Media Overseas College"

From November 12th to 15th, 2023, Vice President Ying Xiaoqing and his delegation went to Mercu Buana University in Indonesia to discuss educational cooperation projects. During the visit, our school was invited to attend the 2023 China (Zhejiang) - Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference and signed an agreement to jointly build the Live Streaming and Media Overseas College with Mercu Buana University in Indonesia. We also invited Education Delegation from Zhejiang Province to visit and witness the signing ceremony of the Live Streaming and Media Overseas College at Mercu Buana University, and inspected Indonesian Chinese funded enterprises such as Zhenshi Group Cooperate, discussed with the President of the Indonesian Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce.

On November 14, 2023, the 2023 China (Zhejiang) - Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. A series of key cooperation projects were signed between Zhejiang Province and Indonesia, including the signing ceremony of the Live Streaming and Media Overseas College project jointly built by our Institute and Mercu Buana University in Indonesia, marked a solid step for Ningbo Vocational Colleges in the field of international cooperative education.

The Zhejiang Provincial Higher Education Delegation visited and witnessed the plaque awarding ceremony of the Live Streaming and Media Overseas College at Mercu Buana University on site. Chen Chunlei, the full-time deputy secretary of the Education Working Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and the deputy secretary of the Party Group of the Provincial Education Department, attended the plaque awarding ceremony and delivered a speech. Leaders from 9 universities within the province, including Zhejiang Normal University, witnessed the  ceremony of the Live Streaming and Media Overseas College. Zhejiang Business Technology Institute utilizes its advantageous majors to cultivate professional talents in cross-border e-commerce, digital economy, and modern service industries. It actively cooperates with the Mercu Buana University to jointly build the Live Streaming and Media Overseas College. Through the construction of the Overseas College of Live Broadcasting and Media, it will play an important role in strengthening education and people to people exchanges and cooperation with the the Belt and Road countries, strengthening the international quality of higher vocational colleges, carrying out talent skills training and serving international production capacity cooperation.

Ying Xiaoqing and his delegation also visited Indonesian Chinese enterprises such as Zhenshi Group, and had discussion with the President of the Indonesian Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce to understand the needs of local enterprises, and to discuss various cooperation opportunities such as talent training and enterprise services.

Zhejiang Business Technology Institute collaborates with Indonesian universities to establish a joint college in Indonesia. Based on the employment characteristics and needs of Chinese enterprises going abroad, it trains Indonesian students in relevant scarce professional skills on site. This collaborative project will provide customized human resource solutions for Chinese enterprises going abroad to Indonesia. Indonesian partner universities provide training venues, while Zhejiang Business Technology Institute sends a team of teachers and outputs professional courses to jointly create a new type of vocational college service model, solving the talent bottleneck problem. The joint college will focus on talent skills training, educational and cultural exchange, and provide services to Chinese enterprises to help cultivate localized talents with international perspectives and professional skills. In response to the specific needs of the live streaming media industry in Southeast Asia, the college will offer targeted courses such as short video creation, e-commerce operations, and live streaming training, aiming to provide precise talent cultivation and intellectual support for overseas enterprises. This important cooperation not only strengthens the friendly relationship between Zhejiang Province and Indonesia in the field of vocational education, but also opens up new paths for cooperation between enterprises and educational institutions. Through this cooperation, Ningbo's enterprises will be able to enter and adapt to the Southeast Asian market more effectively, and promote international cooperation and development under the the Belt and Road initiative.
